Guide for Applicants

Step 3: Submit a pre-proposal to your FRAB

Once you have contacted the relevant FRAB and if appropriate a Subprogram Leader, and are familiar with their strategic objectives and research and development priorities you should then submit a pre-proposal. Your relevant FRAB will advise you on the appropriate format for submitting pre-proposals.

Applicants need to send their pre-proposal to all relevant FRAB's that are likely to receive more than 20% of the benefit of the application.

Your FRAB will assess the pre-proposal and will either:

  1. Recommend that a full application be submitted to FRDC
  2. Provide advice on possible improvements to the pre-proposal before recommending a full application be submitted or;
  3. Recommend that a full application NOT be submitted
