The FRDC’s new R&D Plan seeks to concisely build a case for targeted investment in pursuit of a shared vision for fishing and aquaculture in Australia, and describe outcomes that must be delivered in order to achieve that vision. Specific investment areas to deliver Plan Outcomes will be articulated in FRDC’s Annual Operational Plans.
The final draft FRDC's R&D Plan 2020-2025 of the plan is now available. Once approved by the Minister the final version will be posted here.
The FRDC’s 2020-25 R&D Plan will be supported by a companion document, titled Shaping FRDC’s 2020-25 R&D Plan (draft), outlining the development and consultation process that has helped to inform the new plan. Each document can be read independently, with the companion document targeting readers seeking additional contextual and methodological background.
The journey to develop the new R&D Plan took eighteen months and included research, discussions, deep thinking, conflict, resolution, prioritising, awareness raising and many meetings.
