FRDC was proud to launch its RD&E Plan 2025–30: Delivering Impact through Collaboration, and its commissioned artwork by Aboriginal, Torres Strait and Māori artist Beau Pennefather Motlop, at a lively dinner hosted by FRDC Chair Dr Elizabeth (Beth) Woods OAM.

Beth acknowledged the diversity of FRDC’s stakeholder base and the valuable and unique contribution they provide particularly through the development of the new RD&E Plan, helping amplify the corporation’s key themes and long-term goals. Beth also paid tribute to FRDC Managing Director Dr Patrick Hone and the immense impact he has had in shaping FRDC and Australia's fishing and aquaculture sectors. 

Other speakers included Stock Assessment Scientist Cathy Dichmont, ASBTIA CEO Daniel Casement, CEO of Ozfish Australia Cassie Price, and IRG Chair Shane Holland.
