FRDC Social Media Competition - Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter 

The promoter of this competition is Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC). 

2. Competition Period

The competition will run from 8 April 2025 to 22 April 2025 11:59pm AEST (Competition Period). All entries must be received within this period to be eligible. 

3. Eligibility 

The competition is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees of FRDC and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. 

4. How to Enter 

To enter the draw, participants must: 

  • Submit a photo of their seafood feast or favourite seafood recipe in the comments section of the relevant competition post on FRDC’s Facebook or LinkedIn. 

  • On Instagram, participants must submit only a recipe in the comments section of the relevant competition post. 

  • Entries must be submitted within the Competition Period. 

5. Prize and Winner Selection 

  • Five (5) winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries using either a physical draw (names in a hat) or a digital random selection tool. 

  • Each winner will receive one (1) copy of the Fresh+Frozen cookbook and one (1) FRDC hat.  

  • The draw will take place on 24 April 2025. 

6. Notification of Winners 

  • Winners will be contacted via direct message on the social media platform where they entered. 

  • Winners must respond within one week to provide their mailing address for prize delivery. 

  • If a winner does not respond within the stipulated timeframe, FRDC reserves the right to select an alternate winner. 

7. Use of Entries 

  • At the conclusion of the competition, FRDC may share a selection of recipes submitted by participants on its social media channels. 

  • By entering the competition, participants grant FRDC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and share their submitted content. 

8. General Conditions 

  • This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. 

  • FRDC accepts no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries. 

  • FRDC reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with these terms or that are deemed inappropriate. 

  • FRDC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if unforeseen circumstances arise. 

9. Privacy 

Personal information collected from winners will only be used for the purpose of prize fulfillment and will not be shared with third parties. 

By participating in this competition, entrants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
